She didn't know her father's number.She couldn't call him.Even the auto wallah wouldn't be there till the next 3 hours.Her friends had slowly started to leave.Their parents were coming to pick them up.She looked up at the sky.It was about to rain.

She was the only one left now.The teacher asked her if anybody would come to pick her up.She had nodded absently.She heard her teacher grumble about her dad.They waited some more time.Finally her teacher had left her in charge of the peon..
Every time she thought of that incident she had shivers running her spine.Even 20 years later,she couldn't forget the way she was exploited by that peon.She had cried a lot and had been hushed to silence by him.He had threatened her not to tell anyone.And she hadn't.Today when she had seen the marks on her daughter's body, she had understood.Her daughter had broken down in her arms.She had cried along with her,hugged her and comforted her.Finally her daughter had fallen asleep in her arms.
Next morning her maid came running and said that the guard had been found dead in his cabin.Someone had castrated him before killing him.She rushed to the spot.The entire neighbourhood was there.She let out a shriek on seeing all the gore and rushed inside her house.She latched her room.She looked at her sleeping daughter and smiled.

Nice one.....this is the first time i went through your post and why i thought of commenting is because of these reasons:
1. Bull's eye: The story was short, crisp and bang on target, no unnecessary narrations and yet conveyed the msg u wanted to convey perfectly!!!!
2. Similar thoughts: A few years back there was a group discussion I was part of with a topic: CAPTTAL PUNISHMENT OF RAPISTS" At the end of discussion I was having a private discussion with one of my friends. I remember what exactly I told her: The rapists should not be hanged rather they should be castrated so that whenever they search for their balls they will remember what hineous crime they did!!!" Good to see the avenge taken by mom here.
